Broke my gearbox a little....

i have broken about 3 sr gearboxes and 2 have done the same thing, both had sheared off 2 or more teeth and with clutch in nothing all ok, any gear it would sound like rocks in a washing machine, lol

fact is something is rooted and you will have to pull it out, you might still be able to fix it if nothings gotten jammed yet
current: 96' Supra RZS single Gt42 490kw at 20psi, daily - Hiace 2.7 van '05
previous: 92' mr2 g-limited, fuls gen 2 turbo conversion, steel ct20b, external etc etc :)
drift car: 94' silvia s14 sr20det 307kw @18psi

Any updates on whats wrong with the gearbox?

Hey

Nah - haven't had a chance to take the box out yet. I've been busy with other projects and now have man-flu which puts EVERYTHING on hold lol.

ratcht!!!, looks exactly like a few of my g.boxes that are now at the scrapy, lol you got a new one lined up?

Haven't found a cheap enough replacement yet.

It's red line shock proof gearbox oil. Expensive-ish. Well, it is when you don't get many kms out of it and you can't use it again lol

It wasn't a stand-still. I was doing about 80 at the time. Not much ro rave about really. But was hella fun!

And of course it was in on a closed road..... :wink:

W, series box? Got a w56 gear set you can have, might have the same layshaft?

Yeah it's either a W55 or W57. I'm not sure which.....
