R154 rear mount bolt

I have always wondered what the bolt in the center of the R154 rear mount is, it seems to tension the mount? Does anyone know what it is for and what it should be set too if it can even be set? My box has an annoying vibration at low revs I am hoping this has something to do with it.

Should just be a fail safe, tightening it down would certainly snub up the mount but the metal to metal contact is noisy & NFG.
