3S-GE (TZ-G Caldina) help

Postby Vivasanti » Tue Mar 12, 2013 4:09 pm

Hi, im after a knowledgeable person to help me out, ive had my 96 Caldina for ages, when i brought it twas already lowered with king springs, last 6 months or so its got very "bouncy" in the back end.

My last WOF the mechanic told me i need some new rear "struts" but i gather he means shockys, as he said the're pretty much rooted, no more travel left in them.

Do i get complete new shockys for this car or does it take some kind of "insert" that goes in a shocky housing?

if ANYONE can help me with some info id be very appreciative, im not a "Car guy" heh

cheers Team.

Did the WOF guy refer to them as shockys or is that your thing? 8O

If you're after comfort, change back to factory shocks and springs. Ask Toyota about some new ones. Conveniently, we have a Toyota Parts sponsor!

Nah in the WOF report I'm sure he's put struts?

ill have to look, I'd love to get rid of the lowered springs, its horrible, I'd hate to think how much new factory springs would be!

its only my run-a-bout, but it wont get a WOF without getting this strut thing fixed.
