Car in question is Toyota Mark II GX90.
The pulley bearing has seized on AC compressor leading to catastrophic failure of AC clutch.
I acquired replacement clutch and bearing, only to find that nose cone of the compressor is stuffed (the part where circlip supposed to be is completely separated from nose cone, nose cone is worn itself).
The whole thing is a molten mess of copper and plastic.....
I am cleaning up the pulley, but the matter of nose cone, I don't know what to do about it....
I do not want to remove the nose cone myself, as I am pretty sure it involves draining the refrigerant.
Is there anyone here on board who does AC?
I got the parts from autoair.co.nz for reasonable cost, and I pretty sure they do nose cones as well (and probably O ring for it)....
