5afe non-interference? quick answer needed

Postby Knob City » Thu Apr 25, 2013 1:12 pm

So i'm looking to buy a cheap AE100 wagon, 5afe, but it has high k's (328) and no idea if belt has been done, google tells me they are non-interference engines but I need some reassurance :)

And yeah I will be getting the cam belt changed, just don't have the cash to do it right now. thanks!

I can confirm non interference on a 5afe having just had the cambelt break on my car. Chucked a new belt in and it's all good for another 250,000 odd kms :P
When in doubt, down and out.
