Drive shaft loops

Hi everyone

So it is time to put the driveshaft loops in, I have bought two and am going to have a go at installing them this weekend.

I have a 2 piece driveshaft and the regulations say I need a loop within 25cm rearwards of each universal. Does that mean just the hanger or behind where the drive shaft connects to the gear box?

Also, don't suppose anyone has a picture of these loops installed in either a JZA80 or a JZZ31?

I think Luke got them installed by the chaps at Midas in Porirua, as one of the guys who works there is pretty clued up on cert requirements etc.

If you've bought generic fit ones, you're probably shit out of luck as they are hopeless.

Best bet is probably to buy some lengths of 50x5 flat bar from trademe, and bash/bend it into the required shape. (Or this, in conjunction with the generic loop parts)

Yup, I got crappy generic ones, I did figure they would need some gypsy modifications to make them fit, fortunately I am the king of gypsy mods.

Are the ones you got certifiable? Thats pretty important, and lots of them arent.

the guy in the store said they were, they look to be 5x50, so I am guessing they are ok.
