gen 4 3sgte clutches

Postby magweal » Sat May 09, 2015 10:53 pm

I'm hoping you guys can help clear this up for me, I've been told the clutches in the gen 4 3sgte are different to the gen 2 and 3, is this true or will one clutch kit fit across the board?
I've spent the last 2 hrs trying to find an answer in the interballs (MCM ref :D) and am still no closer to finding out.
On a side note has any one heard of XTD clutch kits is so opinions?

According to Toyodiy the clutch disc and pressure plate are the same for Caldina, Celica and MR2.
Caldinas never had GEN3 3sgtes and Celicas/MR2s never had GEN4 3sgtes so they should fit either car.

Id get your stock OEM kit uprated at Autoclutch in Auckland.

I was putting about 205 rwkw on mr MR2 on that setup, great clutch, daily drive feel with tons of holding power...provided you spend the 200kms of town stop start driving to break it in..after that feel free to abuse it.
