AE111 Radiator Fan Staying on after AC Removed

Postby 73pixie » Sun Dec 20, 2015 6:28 pm

Howdy Peeps,

Probably been addressed before but would anyone know how to stop the radiator fan running constantly after aircon system has bee removed from a AE111 Levin 4age 20V

From what I can find online a wiring plug possibly can be bridged, if so what color wires or can the AC fuse to pulled?

I see theres a plug by fire wall with four wires and the AC fan plug and pump plugs that have all been disconnected.

also would anyone out there have a spare ECU from a 6 speed BZR Levin?

Cheers,

You are right about the plug. It is the AC pressure switch. 2 of the 4 wires need to be bridged but I am not sure what ones, I only know about the MR2 as it only has 2 wires so it's easy.

Possibly pin 2 and 3 Light Green w/ Black stripe and Light Green. See wiring diagram.

On the ECU - my BZ-R is currently using the ECU from a 5 speed BZ-G, so they definitely do work on BZRs.
Apparently there's a difference in the way that it operates as you change gear to potentially reduce the risk of damage to the weaker 6 speed. (but that's all internet information, so who knows how true it is).

The sensor will think it's reading low A/C gas pressure making it stay on anyway.

No it works the other way, the switch actually turns the fans on when the pressure is to high,
as hot gas is high pressure.

Reconnecting the switch with no gas pressure will make the fan work as normal.
