Rubber Oil Lines

Postby Boosted_162 » Sat Mar 12, 2016 6:16 pm

So I have got a GReddy Grex oil relocation kit lying around, as well as some Defi's which I am keen to install into my EP91. The kit came with these stupid rubber/braided hoses that are a pain to work with and too short for what i'm using it for now (was originally an RB26DETT kit)

Are rubber hoses suitable for the lines to remote filter? I have a friend in hydraulics so I can get something rated to the heat and pressure.

The other question is, will I have issues will lines popping off? The kit doesn't have AN fittings, rather barb style fittings. So will just have clamps on each end.

This is the kit:

There will definitely be a pressure rated oil resistant hose that will do the job, only need to be more careful with anything it might rub on.
Barbed hose tails and clamps will work fine

Sweet, cheers Brad!

I figured if I got some hose rated to 200psi+ and 200 degree+ i'd be pretty safe but wanted to make sure! Ill just wrap the pipes where they may contact the body.
