CALDINA GTT manual rransmission fluid

Postby Technohedge » Sat Apr 02, 2016 7:23 pm

Oh hell this is about my fourth post on here since joini g a day ago. I feel like one of them mongs who goes to the doctors for a cut finger...

Changing manual tranny fluid on caldina gtt. Drained main box and drained the centre diff with the bottom drain plug on it.

Went to remove the plug halfway up the front of the gearbox so i can tell when to stop filling and the nut is tounded off!

I have seen posts on here saying the gearbox and front diff takes around 5.1 litres.

Ive put just under 5 litres in i reckon. Will it be ok? Whats the consequences of overfilling slightly? Ive seen posts on here where people say it was full after only 4 ish litres and thats all that came out wen they drained it?

I didnt measure what came out cos it all went in a big bucket with engine oil

If its overfull, it just blows out the breather tube and makes a huge mess, nothing fatal though
