Ok, dont flame me, i know i know, its been done to death.

Instead of *if this gen is this, then what is this?*

Put simply, 1997, GT Mr2

Has the pretty tail lights, big wing, clear indicators etc all factory.

What i want to know, is,

A) What *generation* is this?
B) What turbocharger is hanging off the engine?
- In another post Al mentions that the 26 is only good for under 5000rpm, this engine starts pulling *hard* above there.... so is this a 26 or 20b?
C) Whats the Compression ratio :).

CHEERS :D.

Can supply Chassie numbers / codes, and other junk if required, but instead of me trying to figure it out, im sure someone on here will be able to tell me, in about 12 seconds or less :).

You aren't seriously considering an e-boost are you? Surely not.

ahahahaha... thats probly thee most funniest things i have ever heard you say. in stead of "BOOOOOST IT OW" people will b like "RAAAAM IT OW".. i can wait for the "how do i put a bov on my E-RAM?" or "how do i crank up the boost on my E-RAM?"

what sorta price is an E-boost these days?

I have a Profec B Spec II on my GT-FOUR and an e-Boost on my Rover. Can't fault either of then. I like the fact that the e-Boost can control a couple of things (such as a water spray) which is useful with the car being prepared purelky for racing. Profec B is perfect for normal road use though and as said above, it is cheaper (and easier to mount).

Wolf3D are good ECU's, but I dont know who can tune them particularly down south...Christchurch would be your only option I would assume?
Apexi does a plug in PowerFC for the later model MR2's.

Are you sure its steel? Ceramic will be ok, but who knows for how long

It will be ceramic.....

As for safe boost levels theres quite a few threads already on this so do a search. For extended periods of time no more than ~1bar would be advisable.
