Get the injected version. Not really the best place to start for mods to get more go. Drop in a 4E-FTE if you've got a bit of time/money to spare

It should mount up and no it wouldnt be cheep. No offence but if your asking questions like this maybe you should save up for a car a lil more sporty rather than doing this one up.

Kick it maybe?

what would the usual intake and exhaust mods do to this engine? any performance gains?

It may give a bit more up top, the end of the day your starting with an eco motor you cant expect too much out of the poor thing. Just blow it up, they do 120 in second (on the track of corse)

hey man, save your money for something better, its not worth trying to do your nanna wagon up unless you have some decent cash to throw at it, and to be honest there is nothing cheap you can do to this engine to make it perform.. so just enjoy the fact it runs on the smell of an oily rag until you get some more coin :)

yeh man i think you should save coin, ive got a 2E at the moment, dont bother doing anything aye its never going to be able to beat any decent cars in a drag, but if you want to just experiment and c what happens go for it. i think some place in waiuku does extractors for these aswell for bout $170, K & N filter for 2E is $140 give or take so there is like 300 bucks for what will probaly be minimal gain. if you want to do anything to it just focus on the looks man 8O
