doing cams properly is more of a commitment than some of you seem to think

save up and get a ecu
then you have far more options
like turbo perhaps
or the ability to attually use thes big cams you want :d

what makes u think the 2" exhaust is shitty??
id say thats a pretty good size for a 1600,

and probably better to spend $400 somewhere else rather than enlarging your exhaust pipe by 6mm..

as for your questions..

factory redtop makes about 100kW @ the fly
cost of 4-1 exctractors and 2 1/4 exhaust probably around $750 all up.

i doubt he will be able to get a 2.25" mandrel bent stainless exhaust fitted for $400

the thing with n/a tuning is to get good results everything needs to upgraded to work with each other

ie no point putting big cams in head that cant flow to match and if the ecu wont let you rev to use them, but if you cant afford cams + ecu, just ecu wont give you that great of a increase generally, if you are going to be happy with just an exhaust and filter then settle at that, otherwise if you want big hp, do some research and budget what you need to make a package work for you
