Yeah it's true as far as I know, ive had police tell me this and a mate get off a speeding charge because he had ABS - because every car has different interval of pulses, and different length of time for each lock up. Could be handy if you hit the back of something or wipe out and the cops think you were speeding.

Instantly you get off the speed.

How accurate are the cops at doing it anyway?

My wifes brother drove her parents car into a pole.
Lost it on a bend and slid straiaght into a pole between the headlights har enough for it to crack the engine block and insurance had to fit a new motor. ( 6 month old nz new corolla)

The cops measured it out and said,
" from our calculations he was doing less than 50 kph"

Update... no black box saying ABS relay so im guessing its not ABS equiped...

Not always true - if there are witnesses that determine otherwise then well you're screwed. But 99% of the time it's the car behind that gets the blame
