heya warrick, how low do the trd srpings for ae101 go?

i got a 30 mm drop from factory, but i wanna go 2 50 mm drop, and my cobras aint that hard, im thinking about some dobis for the front cos they go super low, but something else to make the back low, or is mixing springs not a good idea?

TRD dont go that low! 20-30mm is what they quote.

are you sure you wanna go 50mm??
i dont think i would in an ae101.
i wish i knew what was in mine, its lower than stock in the back so its a little nose high. fixing that with some TRDs in a coupla weeks 8)
but as far as i can tell its stock height at the front and it scrapes, so its gunna be a pain 20-30 mm lower!

but if its been dropped already then i guess you know what its like!

mixing springs front to rear can be bad. but it can be good. i think youll find dobis will settle at the rear over a month or so. we fitted some to an ae111 here and it looked like an old school hotrod! but after 4-6 weeks (which is a bit long i thought) it settled and now looks really good.

at $400 a set it could be quite costly to just do trial and error

$400 would buy a set of TRD springs for a superstrut AE101.

It's the cost of the TRD Superstrut Struts that really bites - $1800 for the front pair, $800 for the rear pair 8O. Or there abouts...

Ive got a little over 1 finger gap on the front and about 2 on the back
thats on 195/50 R15"s
On 17"s its less than a finger gap on the front

Yeah Ive worn through the back ends of my side skirts, and the bottoms of my swaybar bushes, one of the flexis is worn, theres no sealer on the chassis rails, centre muffler all punched up, the standard front bar scrapes occasionally etc etc

I have been known to throw a passenger out to get over the occasional judder bar, and have bellied it out on a driveway

Its a firm ride, and doesnt like pot holes around town particularly
has about 85mm clearance at the lowest point which isnt too bad

I brought it like this
The receipt in the glovebox says that the sporings are H&G
there captive at full droop, and I think the shocks are standard

Park mine next to a standard one and they look like 4wd's
I think H&G are a European manufacturer
