ha! confusing

Postby FoRsaKeN » Thu Jul 28, 2005 12:39 am

Ha! That's a confusing way of putting it!
I guess it's a toss up between hotter air in the engine bay versus coler water cooling the actual engine.... no??

Can't you add a switch in the cabin to turn the radiator ona dn off.... so if you were standing still(eg. waiting in line at the drags), you could turn it on... but still have the option of turning it back to it's 'standard timing of turning it on' ????[/quote]

If you overcool the radiator the engine temp will not drop as long as your thermostat works.

Running the fan all the time will have next to no effect on engine water temp.

Totally agree that the thermostat is the thing that will affect the coolant temperature. If the car has been given death, after I stop and get out you can feel the hot air coming out from underneath the car on your foot. Moving air has to be preferential to stagnant surely? In any case I haven't experience "nana" mode for ages except when the engine is cold.
