I'm sure a 3S could as well. As to how long it would last.... Well thats another matter :D
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

How does the rev cut work on a bluetop? I've hit it a few times and its like slamming on the brakes.

ive hit mine a few times, had two different situations

one was like Dragger-Dan said, car basically feels like brakes hav been slammed on. Revcut, im not sure.

and the only other time was bouncing off the limiter for a second.

my 3s runs out of oooomph after about 6500 anyways, so i havnt hit the limiter (7200) in quite a while, i dont plan to either.
I had vtax :(

No, I mean it could get up to 9000, but it wouldn't like it :D

my rev limit is 7k
dont really hit it ever...............

1.8 vtec integra engine tuned with a link and the guy set it to 9200 rev limit.

What did he set the vtec point to?

Dont the mugen chips let you rev out to 10k

The dodgy chips just remove the limiter all together.

Yeah, it'll rev to 9200, but from memory B18C's peak torque is at 7400rpm, so revving it much past that on factory cams is pointless, really, and although it will definitely do it.. it sure isn't any good for it. That said though, B18Cs are damn tough motors, factory oiling for any VTEC motor is more than adequate for big revs!

I'd just check the fuelling, if its' ok, then let him do it.. but with factory cams, its' pointless.
