Mine's on the A pillar. It's a bit of a pain in the arse to be honest. A couple of times I haven't seen cars hiding behind the pillar and nearly been in trouble.. If you made a custom a pillar cover, and recessed them it might work ok, but the generic clip on holders are pants.

To be honest I find vision in the GTT's pretty bad. Big thick pillars - a few times I haven't seen cars around me and I swear I had a good look round.
Where could it go:
1) A Pillar
2) Steering Column
3) Under or next to the cigarette lighter
4) On the dash - in the middle
5) Under the dash; to the right of your knees

Anywhere else?

Sorry for being a bit slack, was my last day ever at my job on friday so got a little carried away with the celebratory drinks :P So without further ado, pics, as promised:

Obviously requires some finesse with the holesaw but with a little imagination you can pull off some fairly decent stuff.

That looks good. I would never have thought of putting it there.

Just need to buy a gauge now...

I used a mr2 pillar mount as my starting point and modified it to fit and got the panel beaters down the road to try colour match the grey, like wise the pillars are very wide and do create some rathing annoying black spots

Another idea. Altho it is a SW20, just be wary of airbag wires, and blocking the gauges. Luckily i dont have to worry about either.

A mates VR4 had his there when he bought it & it was a pain in the arse to look at when coming on boost.

I quite like the factory boost gauges on STi's - coming out of the side of the steering wheel (a bit like Boosted_162's).
