This is where I may have gotten confused with my current car. I know that the right hand side of the fascia is all clips, try and get a skinny screwdriver (carefully so you don't damage the facing) in between the join and lever it up, it takes a little bit of force but should just pop out.

Just had a look at a picture of a dash and I got it now. There are clips at the top left and top right corner, in addition to the ones down the right side. Please ignore that thing about the screw, I was confused with the supra.

The red in the picture is where the clips are, the arrows are roundabout pointers and I think there may be one where the blue is as well.

Hope it helps.

Okee dokee, will give it a crack with a steel ruler or something, preferably something I can't break anything with lol. I'll work on the clips at the top too- I figure once I have three sides loose the right hand side will just pop out. Probably a dumb question, but did you used to have a Curren by the way? You have an AE 111 in your avatar, but unless I missed something, the photo is of well, a Curren...

Sorry Snotoy, I completely missed your post, didn't mean to ignore ya! Will give it a try, and I promise not to make any bad jokes about coming from underneath- oops, sorry, too late  lol

Now, all I have to do is find the damn bulbs/ covers... now having second thoughts about colour... Was thinking orange/ red for dash/ aircon but my Sony Stereo is blue, but then apparently the blue goes blue/ greeny (i.e. back to square one). Someone suggested a orange tictac box :D since Beemers use orange plastic covers (not condom style ones, just domes that go over them). I figure the Beemer bits won't fit toyotas (and I'll hate the price anyway... Oh, decisions decisions!

Yup, used to have a Curren for a couple of years, avatar is (well supposed to be) my Supra but I can never seem to make it look like it should in those tiny pictures :? The other picture I found on the net, http://english.auto.vl.ru to be precise, it's a site that has a lot of specs on many Japanese cars.

As for colour, I started out with red condom style ones everywhere, they eventually faded to orange behind the dash, probably because I had to stretch 8mm covers over 10mm bulbs. The ones behind the air con lights stayed red, and for those I sort of glued/mashed 5mm covers over the 3mm bulbs.

Oops, my bad, but now you mention it it's kinda obvious it's a Supra- the lights, bodykit etc! lol

That site you mentioned is pretty useful- I bookmarked it a few weeks back since someone on this site mentioned it (I forget who). I found another one (I think it was Russian- WTF? 8O I'll have a look for it- has everything from output figures to turning circle dimensions...

The reasons you mentioned would explain why one set faded and the other set didn't- since I don't want that to happen to my ones, I had better find the right gear! Blue or orange/red? Hmmm... gonna do some digging...

So, a bit off topic, but what's the Supra like to drive? It is turbo/ manual?

Real nice to drive, and a lot of fun. It's smaller on the inside than a curren (believe it or not), manual but non-turbo, I couldn't afford turbo, still goes well though. Downside is that it doesnt have an LSD atm, but I've heard rumors of a written off TT supra lurking around so may be in for an engine/gearbox/diff transplant sometime in the future :D Handles real well too, specially with the new tyres. Also forget about bootspace
