hmm
the point of udeing a 1.5 diff is for its charactoristics
some people wouldnt consider the 2 way setting to be sutable for the road or may not be what6 they wanted

personally id be pissed if i bought a 1.5 way and couldnt use it as i intended
i dont care if making it 2 way fixes it
that not what i wanted or bought......
and is be fairly sure it would be covered by a warrenty..and if it wasent nz law would protect me

I quite agree.

I did actually write that I recommended the change for motorsport use.

If you believe that, you're very naive. Whether or not a warranty is expressed or implied, or whether the goods are covered by the Fair Trading Act or the Consumer Guarantees Act is actually no assurance of a remedy.

The purpose of my post was simply to advise those who have these LSDs, and who are using them in a motorsport application, of our experiences. It is for them to do what they will with that information.

yes it is
in cause you havent notice this is about a product you claimn to sell and support
look at the bottom of every post you make

your are naive if you thing you can sell a faulty product and then denie liabilty for it
in fact i find that insultign that you would indicate you would sell this product and then say that there is no assurance od a remidy

do you stand behind your product or do you just sit there and blw smoke out ya arse
this is not personal this is about trd product sales and service
just unfortunate that you happen to represent them

I no longer represent TRD. I sold my agency to TNZ 6 months ago.
For your information we stood by every product we sold and assisted every case that I've described to a satisfactory conclusion.

What is insulting is that you would, for reasons known only to yourself, turn a thread which includes posts by myself intended to help & inform into a personal attempt at self gratification.

Sadly, you have a history of it.

Actually we didn't burn anybody. We provided an exemplary service that was and has never been equalled.
In 11 years as agent we never received one complaint. Not one. Not from yourself, nor anybody.
Had we received one, or any, we would have dealt with them to everybody's satisfaction. It's what we did in our other businesses and would have should the need have arisen with TRD.

We didn't lose the agency. Nor were we forced out of it. We sold it, voluntarily, in a negotiated deal we were very happy with. And still are.
I believe the product is in good hands and have offered support to the present agents.

That's one reason the signature remains in my posts and also simply because I haven't yet been bothered to change it. I have been thinking about it lately. Perhaps it's time to do so.

That said, I am and always will be very proud of the company we built around the TRD agency and it's achievements.

I'm old enough to be the father, possibly even grandfather, of many TS members. I have no need, nor desire, to impress the 'little boys' as you desribe them.

Nevertheless, I am a Toyota nut and this forum is about sharing information.
My posts about the LSDs were intended to inform & help my fellow members. That's all.
My replies to your 'legal' comments were also intended as helpful.
Having been in business for more years than you've been alive I have considerable experience in these matters and I can tell you that there is no protection as effective as prevention.

Perhaps you could put your venom tongue away and offer some constructive comment of your own.

That's the beauty of being in NZ. We have people like you who can find an engineering solution for the problem at a price that is usually affordable.

There are other motorsport aligned engineers who have manufactured replacement parts for these LSDs too.
