Adrian I'm getting approx 500-550km's to about 55L on the open road so roughly 10-11L/100Km's in my auto JZA70 and a lot worse around town but the only way to check your fuel economy is to start off with a full tank, reset the trip meter and drive till it's nearly empty and fill up again to see how many litres you've used comapred with Km's driven on your trip meter.
"$20 gas gets me to Hamilton" or whatever is a bullshit way of determining economy.

I guess i should take a tank with fuel and drive till i stop and see how low i can go. maybe its just the fuel gauge telling me that its sucking it back when really it aint.

Could well be :P When the fuel light comes on in my l300 i know i have atleast another 70+ kms. Fuel gauges are tricksy.

Ok - i guess it doesn't seem all that bad. I'll take good note on the distance per amount of fuel over Christmas. should be taking that down the line these holidays 8)

Thanks for input so far...
