e series engines dont have an idle speed controler on the throtal body. compleetly different to 4ages. your toyota guru should know that.
on the drivers side of the intake plenum there is an idle up control valve. check that is plugged in correctly. or if it makes any difference if you unplug it. if not then thats probibly your problem
the screw your refering to "air fuel screw" is the idle adjustment. lets a certain amount of air passed when throtal butterfly is closed on idle.
Check out how old your spark plug leads are, the year of manufacture is printed on them if they are oem and if they're the originals then just replace them as they'll be long past their use by.
I'd say your idle problem is completely different problem
