^ Yep what he said, surely you'd know me well enough to know that by now Steve? And you seem to underestimate how many people listen and refer to things you have said and posted even nearly a decade ago - I still see numbers, stories etc of yours bouncing around from early 2000s.

well send me your bank account details, cos i would pay money to hear why a T04z is a far better turbo than a gt3540.(i always thought that the T04z was the next size up from the gt3540,with a significantly bigger ex housing... and that the T04z was old technology in terms of having t04r wheels...yet it continually comes up with the goods. further to complicate things, a small number of people say " my t04z spools up faster than my gt3540 did" which sounds bizarre to me...

Thats quite interesting, what makes you choose the T04Z over a GT3582R?

The GT3582R is a good unit... but when you sell so many of the things its the same old sh!t... different day..

the T04Z is an old turbo, But it still work very well. The compressor map i have here for them was made in 1995 !, but like anyone else once you have 500hp you'll want 550hp then more & more.

and on an RB30 i have dyno charts here of a .84 T04Z making 497Kw... @26psi with wheel spin on the rollers.

if i personaly wasnt going down the twin route with my project i would go single T04Z...

OK so its more future proofing than anything?

Now that you mention it - I've been for a blat in a car running a RB30DET and a twin scroll T04Z and the lag was barely noticeable.... responsive as hell and pulled hard from surprisingly low revs so while a GT3582R would technically spool better, with a 3litre engine you can get away with a bit.

If I end up with an RB30 it will have a GT4088R on it...

it seems rb30's are the flavor of the month at the moment,
soon we should be hearing rb33's on the streets as the norm.
