ae111 c56 has a ceramic type coating on 2nd and 3rd syncros while c52 and ae101 c56 dont

Might be why shifting felt better? every box will be different depending on its life

Yeah was gonna say, the C52 in my car is great, shifts smoothly and precisely. Has been rebuilt at some stage by the looks, but who knows when or what was replaced.
1988 KE70 Wagon - Slowly rusting
1990 NA6 MX-5 - because reasons
2018 Ranger - Because workcar
1997 FD3S RX-7 Type R - all brap, all the time
OMG so shiny!

If you end-up using C160, it is imperative you use synthetic GL4/5 Oil.

That may be why im crunching in R and 4th

On topic; the 6spd from super strut Bzrs are lsd, theres a thread in faq's on them I think. From what I've heared you would be better off with the 5spd and a lsd. The 6spds are the 5 speed box fined down to fit a extra gear in. Top gear is the same in both boxs but final drive depends on which diff you have.

But I could be wrong, correct me if I am

Crunching in reverse could be caused by leaky seals or air in clutch cylinders.
There is no synchro for reverse and slight crunch is normal.

All Superstrut BZ-Gs have LSD as well (C56).
