Actually RBs do have better flowing heads, but that is beside the point. and yes JZ's do have poor flowing heads, IF you disagree I really don't know how to respond.

*disclamer I would much rather a 2jz than a RB26

Of course you might need bigger ports to support double the power, but what if you are after nice torque curve, and power near the factory figures perhaps 30% more power? There is no point in messing with ports on a modern toyota engine, unless you are after enormous power, which at that stage makes vehicle undrivable.

Like I said Sergei, IF it is done correctly you can get very representitive results from head flows. You can port a head to make it have more torque if you want, but IF someone who truely knows what they are doing, ports a head it will be better than factory everywhere, and more drivable. The car in the Link I posted came on boost 600 rpm earlier just from the ported head, that pretty much transformed it from a lag monster to a streetable setup.

do you have a flow bench? we have quite a few at work and have flowed both heads, 2j was a very good head. the only decent rb was the 26, all the rest are shit

I read the link and recall the users on that forum being quite excited at how well the JZ exhaust ports flowed compared to those nissanny things, what are they called again?
