In my exhaust stream I used to have

Turbo (T28 housing) -> 3" mild steel -> 3" oval muffler -> 3" mild steel -> 3" oval muffler

the system was very quiet, had no loud barks, but the bass from idle was enough to shake down a house like christchurch,

then i changed to,

Turbo (T28 housing) -> 3" mild steel -> 2x Coby resonators -> 3" mild steel -> 3" oval muffler

now i have no bass tones, but the engine roars when its on song (aka 3500+rpm on boost)

Cheers for the feedback, what kind of oval muffler are you using?

Chase type or AdrenanilR ones? I wonder if it will be enough if I get an 18" Chase resonator, I'm just not sure they are as well designed as the AdrenalinR ones.

Cheers mate, it sounds like I might just need a big Chase resonator then.

turbocharger and cat convertor quietens the obnoxious high bitch noise

resonator in turbo system seems to remove the bass tones (and possibly the high pitch ones on NA, though i wouldn't know)

oval mufflers seem to blanket the entire range of noises

Yeah one resonator will never be enough and will make little differance.

At least two large resonators to take out that annoying cackly droan. Imo a better option than mufflers on a turbo vehicle.
