just to note, i have known adrian for about 5 years, and saw the car when he first got it. he used to be level through to 80-90k with my old 3l turbo supra when he hadn't done much to his car. with his new setup, and still needing bugs sorted and extra bits fitted, he can still keep close with my new jza70 supra at 12psi, which at 17psi pulled 238rwkw. most 20v's i would agree with what you guys are saying. adrians for some reason is different. for whats been done, it's amazingly quick, and for whats to come (and when he cleans the bloody thing out!!) it should suprise a lot of people. sure might not be the quickest 1/4 mile car, but who really gives a shit about that anyway, throw some corners into the mix, keep it interesting!!

besides, part of the fun is seeing how your apple stacks up against someones orange, doesn't matter that it's still an apple, just be glad it ain't a lemon!

I have had a 1.8L Familia Infini & a 1.6L 20v Wagon. The 20v is slightly quicker which is impressive considering its a smaller engine in a heavier car. Although I wouldnt call a 20v exactly quick, its still a bloody good engine for its size. The just lacks the low down torque of bigger engines.

levin with a few minor mods MINOR mods will do a gtst....

gtst = 6 cyl flying lead
levin = nimble quick reving and just all roung light

yes of corse when you stick both motors on just a motor dyno it gunna say weeeee more power yada yada

Can I just say, I personally think that slagging another manufacturer (in this case Nissan) here makes me think less of you. I firmly believe that in order to be classed as a true motorsport enthusiast, you need to embrace all types, all manufacturers, and not bias your opinion, just because you own something different. All makers have their weak and strong points, I could spend all day rabbiting on about Toyotas, but hey, I don't. I know they make fantastic motors, but I wouldn't own one, as I prefer cheap, reliable 6cyl turbos.. which is why I own a Cefiro.

Same goes for rotaries, I detest people saying "tin can bullshit" etc, hey it might sound like shit, but its' a 1300cc motor making 300hp without a turbo.. and to me, thats' engineering brilliance.

My thoughts anyway.

I looked at it, thought about it, and decided no, Si did a good enough job of it.

This is one of the more pointless threads to end up in the tech section - ok, a 20v can take a 15 year old, clapped out skyline - a stock skidda is a 15 second car anyway so its not like this is some great achievement!

My last VR4 could beat any number of "supercars" in a 400m sprint, that doesn't make it a better car though does it And think of it this way - if the skyline owner spends 2K on his car - just like the 20V has to do just to keep up with the nissan in stock form - it will be errm... Quite some distance ahead.

Just spend the money on your car, If you can't get the power you need out of the 20v just spend more $$$$. It's a hard thing you want to beat GTST Skyline's, because in my personal opionion VVTI Is a VTEC Match not a Turbo 6cyl match.

Hope this makes sense, And anyway toyota's have more style anyday anyway...

guys i came across the wrong way.. i dont hate nissan or any other car makers.... (maybe kia ) but yea what im trying to say is:

i just get annoyed cause have the tech questions could be answerd if you went to the library and read a hainz manual 2minutes it would prob answer most of there questions
