I've added a few suspension goodies to my 205 such as larger front and rear sway bars, nolothane bushes, braces etc and the handling is spot on IMHO. Car is very neutral to drive and you have to be pushing it very hard to get the back end to do anything. Even then, it is very easily controlled.

Well

thought I'd put in my 2c worth, I've had my RC for near 4 yrs & have had no mechanical worries except having to change some of the rear bushes (replaced with nolethene ones) & a cracked rubber intake pipe.
Anything else has been usual servicing Oil/Plugs. If I had the option I'd like a ST205 (as well) but then again the next plan (or dream) is a 1980-81 Stingray.

If the 94 ST205 is a WRC version then grab it - if not still grab it @77k should be in good nick.

On an offspin - can anyone tell me why they (Toyota) made a model in 91-93 that was a WRC (road)version which was visually different to the other GT4 models, but in 94 the WRC version is visually (apart from a higher wing) than the std ST205???

Cheers, Mark

The 1991 RC model was made after TTE had made a number of recommendations to Toyota Japan. The visual changes were driven by the rally program, wide arches for larger tyres and bonnet vents to improve cooling. The small round scoop was needed as the rallycars melted the cambelt cover.

The ST205 incoporated all these changes into the normal factory model.
