stocks on hutt road will do you custom wound springs. You'll need to give them all the exact specs etc ..that you require

but it will not be cheap.

I took the car back and they stuck in some custom springs on the rear at no charge, car sits perfect now and handles alot better than I was expecting considering the cost compared to what Ive spent on suspension for my other cars.
Corners really well, ride is a bit bumpy round town but smooth as on the open road.

Just FYI I ended up with, 30mm Cobras on the front, actual lowering = 25mm been a week and still at 25mm. Rear Custom Cobras lowered rear by 26mm, still sitting on 26mm with spare and assorted junk in the boot. Monroe GT Gas, went with them purely due to the price, KYB was $120 more and they offered to swap if I didnt like the monroes, but they seem great for the price. Nolathane bushes all round, bit bumpy but bugger all body roll now, feels great.

Guys at chamberlain were really helpful, considering they ended up giving me custom springs at the stock price, and an extra 3 hours labor pissing about trying different springs at no cost. Maybe Im just used to UK workshops charging for every second they spend doing anything even remotely near your car

im a bit two sided with chamberlins as my springs are from there, real nice to do deal with in that respect and they did a real good job providing my springs nice even drop for starters of about 40mm but over the past 15 months the rears have sagged and are probably a good 15mm lower than the front ones,
i will reccomend them on a good setup as the car still drives very nice (not to hard)and retains a real nice feelin.

i dont know if this is to do with the rates they supplied or what, cause i know the fronts were uprated by more than the rears.

Im sure if i went in there they would sort it out for me, but im wondering if its something i may have done? (exceeded the yield stress and distorted them)

15mm is a lot, I mean look at the stock springs, they go fine for what 10-15 years, bit saggy after that but nothing excessive. I guess if its a wagon you could probably overload them depending on their load rating? Id go back an moan personally, springs aren't a high maintenance item and should do their job a lot longer than 15 months.

Was in a GT4 with Cobra springs once.... the ride quality sucked.

You know somethings up when you say "Wow thats pretty low in the back man" and they reply with "Yeah bro, check out the other side its even lower!" 8O

As they said when i spoke to them on the phone, the cobra springs have a certain spring rate they stick to, progressive rate springs at that. The main point we're putting across here is if the difference between super low and low springs is that great that it makes a difference. From my experience chame\berlains are friendly do deal with and discuss the options clearly as , lets not forget YOU are the customer so it's YOUR choice what amount you're going to spend for ride comfort, handling etc. My advice would be listen to what the places say, tell them what your plans are for the car whether it be road, race, rally etc and work out a good package from there

Awesome thats the kind of thing i want to hear lol

$250 for the kit, and he's going to do free shipping too, and will install them at home.

I see Hyper is selling them for $399 for the kit uninstalled so I think I got a pretty good deal!
