Yep standard, and nah, havent checked yet...given its age and K's I'd not be entirely surprised though. Who's got a spare I can borrow so I can pull it out?

have you checked the tps? i assume the 20v's are like the 16v?

No I've done $&#$% all so far, just checked for obvious leaks. Weird that its intermittent/resettable though, and really only comes after on after driving for a certain period.

Good thing I cary a spare ecu around in the boot... Is it still behaving after we swapped the ecu over?

Yup sure is :D Still takes a while for the cold idle to drop, but its still much smoother and doesnt idle high anymore.
Will try get the ECU out tomorrow and get it to you at some stage :D

Oh yeah, in the end we repaired my ECU, and it idles normally, though with the A/C idle up solenoid connected it will still idle massively high, but with it unplugged its business as usual.
