auto trans flush & throttle body clean

Postby Old Wolf » Sat Apr 10, 2004 8:18 pm

I need to change the trans fluid in my auto (it's never been changed since the car was new). But everywhere I've rung is charging $200+ . Does anyone know of any cheaper workshops, or is it possible to buy a pump so I can do it myself?

Also, I had the Hometune guy come around and he had this cool thing which is a bottle and a valve and some hoses, and it plugs into your fuel lines, and then you idle the car off it until the bottle runs out (about 15 minutes), and it cleans out your injectors and throttle body and so on. But this costs $108 (+ a callout fee if I want to do it on another car), are there any workshops that offer this service, or is it possible to buy the equipment to do it myself somewhere?
