body repairs

Postby ELOK » Sun May 09, 2004 2:13 pm

hey all, ive been sanding rust out of my car for like a week now and only cover around 5 square cm so i figure its gonn atake me bloody ages to get all the rust and panels fixed up, so how much would it cost apprx to get it all done by a professional? basicly getting the whole body stripped, rust taken out a small amount of bogging perhaps. all ready to be painted. just an estimate cost would help me out so i know what my options are.

peace

I not sure how much it'll cost but if you're not using the car heaps (as in Bare metal + rain = rustification) just go hard and do it yourself, get some mates around and give em a beer or something. It'll work out cheaper and it's probably a good car for you to learn about bogging with. I'm considering buying something real shit and cheap so I can take my car off the road (before the cops do) and strip it down.

I just realised my car is already "shit and cheap"

i like ur car lol

yea your probably right about doing it myself, but its a real pain in the ass when you see a car and know it has so much potential but you cant do anything about it! very frustrating, i cant get mates over to help me cos all my mates live like 2 hours away from where i live so its not easy to sort that out lol.
my old man is helping me, but still, im not very patient lol

thanks for the advice.
