Suspension tunig book

Postby Stealer Of Souls » Thu May 13, 2004 1:38 pm

Hey all...

For those out there who wanna know how a little about how different suspension components work and a little about tuning characteristics try this book...

How to make your car handle
Fred Puhn
New York, NY HP 1976

It's an oldie but its a goodie...
It expains all sorts of neat things... like how body roll on contributes a small amount of weight transfer, and the primary reason to limit body roll is to limit suspension geometry changes... And how your shock bound rates are the best way to increase how fast a car responds to steering input...

Check it out.. Unitec library has a copy, I'm not sure where else you can get it.
Techbooks has it for sale $50...

I don't claim to know everything... That doesn't mean it isn't true....
