4age computer options?

Postby RAZA » Fri May 14, 2004 5:07 pm

Does anyone know for sure whether there is any way of modifying the computer of a 4age (in my case a blacktop)?

I did a bit of a search and the consensus seems to be that if you want to upgrade you bin the factory one and buy a link or something.

Does anyone know of any cheaper alternatives as I gather there are quite good gains to be made here but I dont really fancy spending 1500+ on a computer

the standard computers cannot be chipped (to the best of my knowledge), if you dont want to get a link which is one of your better option then your limited to piggy back fuel and ignition computers, on the upside blue face apex'i safc II's look the business

Neil Farrall in Christchurch makes and sells programmable Protek engine computers for the 4age/gze engines. I think they're about half the price of a Link. I have one in my MR2 and am happy with it.

He can be reached on 0274 725000
