Glassin plastic bumpers

Post by Ae92typeX »

While Ive got the supra off the road I was thinking about doing a little custom work on the bumpers,
What I was wondering, from those who have done it, is how does fibreglassing the plastic bumpers turn out?
Im sweet as at fibreglassing but havent tried modding a bumper with it.
I know I could go down the plastic welding path, but wouldnt mind trying this either.
cheer :D

In my experience those plastic bumpers warp badly when exposed to polyester resins.

Epoxy may be better but then again maybe not.

I guess I will either forget it or look at useing the std bumber as a mould and then going from there.
