4AGE into EP82

Postby DRFTIN » Sat May 29, 2004 12:33 am

anyone ever heard of this being done?
this site http://www.anycities.com/user/hardcoreep/FEATURE/Feature_2.html has some really useless info but id like something better

i'm guessing it will be easiest to get all of the drivetrain & brakes from a AE111 or 101 and just chuck it in the starlet
well maybe not that easy but thats the plan
obviously it would be easier with a link computer to make the wiring easier
but has anyone got any ideas of how we would go about doing this???

I have done this to an EE90 corolla which has basically the same engine bay.

You will need the box and drive shafts as the 4AGE wont bolt up to the old one(the top two bolts will but the bottom two are slightly out).

The drivers side engine mount needs to be moved foward about 50mm, I recommend using an AE92 one.

If you get the engine complete with loom and ECU the wiring isnt as hard as many people say but still requires a bit of work.

If you go ahead with it, give me a PM and I might be able to help you out with any problems.

if you look down a few threads you'll see that this has just been recently discussed. Not as easy as it sounds

ee90 not quite the same as a starlet, you'l need to do a bit of choping in one place or another to make a 4age fit in a starlet..
