strange idle. have a look

Postby fatgtr » Mon Jun 21, 2004 6:36 pm

i own a st182 and it usually idle at 1400rpm when cold and 900-1000 when warm. the other day ive noticed that when warm it is idling really low, sometimes as low as 500 rpm. upon observing it, the rpm gauge changes. it keeps moving low to high and vice versa. what could be the problem here.
any help appreciated
cheers

Some of the old Mitsi's have this problem, few of my mates have had Cyborgs that have done it. One of them replaced the alternator and it stopped doing it, so perhaps get the alternator checked
