4AGE Headgasget

Postby TURCEL » Mon Jul 12, 2004 10:12 pm

I just brought a FXGT with redtop 4AGE and the headgasget has completely pooh'd itself (or the head is cracked)

Basicly started off with nothing and in a couple of weeks its gone from blowing a little smoke and driving rough to leaking oil and alot of smoke. Also has bubbles in the radiator but doesnt overheat.

Now my problem is I went down to Repco to get a headgasget but they didnt have any for my pacific year :-S Can I just use a bluetop one? As they were claiming they changed years in 87 :-S (also said the older one fitted the 4AGZE)

Or you could get a nice new thin gasket and increase your CR
