Clutch.. cable vs hydrolic

Postby kingcorolla » Mon Aug 02, 2004 4:26 pm

my mate is doin a motor swap at the mo with a 4a-ge. he was thinking ov goin with the strong T-50 or the stronger W-5x. one thing thats bugs him is it will be in a vehicle previosly with cable clutch (KE70) and will have to convert to hydrolic. Hes thinking ov riskin the K-50 jus so he can avoid it!!. ive never done this before but can anyone tell me if its as hard as it seems?? u have to cut new hole in fire-wall for master cylinder?? swap pedals??

ps: im 6'5 and i know working on pedal boxes are a PAINFULL c**t... it even hurts checking he fuses in my old ladys AE92 wagon!! :x :x

It's easy. Just pull drivers seat out, buzz a hole in firewall, put pedals in and away you go.

The only problem would be getting a bolt-in pedal setup. Guess an AE70 one would be the go, or maybe a TE71.
