When my engine is idling it sometimes makes a rattle/squeak/knocking noise but as soon as the accelerator pedal is pressed, even very slightly it stops. If i take my foot off the pedal again the noise returns slowly and gets louder/faster (as if its building up momentum).
The gearbox has recently been replaced but it had the same problem b4 this.
Has anybody got any ideas that could help me?

have a look at you powerstearing pulley bearing or or a/c pulley bearing " if u have a/c" or cheack ur idler bearings like the ones on or s/c belt and your cam belt
or cheeck if every thing is tite my rattle and knocking nose was my air box coming loose
