where would you go to get a hilux diff shortened

its for a 1970 ke25 coupe with a sr20 in it

I'd try the likes of Diffspec in east tamaki, Diffs'r'us in Otahuhu. They'd be my picks in Auckland. Outside of Auckland I'd be looking round & asking the V8/Hotrod guys of a good Diff place. Failing that you could get a fab/welding shop to shorten the axle tubes foryou & then take the axles into a machine shop & get them to respline the ends once they've cut them to length

Ive heard people talking about it but never invesitgated, some 4wd vechiles have offest front diffs, and there is a possibilty of using two short side axles in a shortened housing, which means only shortening one side of the diff. Not sure how this applies to toyotas, but it could be possible.
Otherwise in your case really is a matter of where you are.
