Oil press. sender units same on both big port 4ag??

I have an 89' AW11 with 7rib red/black top 4age, the factory oil press. gauge doesnt work, so i wanna replace the sender unit.
I can get one for a blue top, will it fit and be accurate as a straight replacement?
I assume it will but just checking to be sure

Depends, my bluetop used an oil pressure light instead of a gauge. Because of this it has a different type of sensor.
Probably better off buying a new one, they dont cost that much.

problem sloved

the gauge on the right is an oil pressure one i found lying around, air vents are over-rated anyway and now i have a swiveling gauge
Anyone who knows whether the sensors would have been the same feel free to answer incase someone else wants to know later on and knows how to use the search
