is it possiable to do a low boost turbo set up on a silvertop?

if so what gear would you recommend, turbo wise etc, still keeping standard rod's etc

i wont want to run much as the compressionis reasonbly high, maybe 5 psi
tunings the key
or you could fit 4agze pistons and run 15 psi or more, if your going to the trouble of fitting a turbo you may as wel do that.

the crank and rods are the same as the 4agze

ive done this conversion, but went the whole way and rebuilt the engine with stronger internals. One this you can't run much boost on teh standard intake manifold, it will blow the plastic trumpets apart.
I will post up some pics later on when mine completely finished.

yea would prob be happy with around 5-7psi

just to get a bit more power than standard.

what size turbo would you guys recommend?

should i go for a new computor or get one of those extra fuel injector controllers that inject more gas when the turbo is boosting?

cheers

i fail to see how that happened ??

they have even pressure on both sides so technally there would be no pressure on there structure

i blew my airbox at about 6 psi
just pealed apart at the seams

the trumpets are fine even after 1 bar of abuse

personally i think this is not the way to get more power froma n/a
if you wanna a more powerful motor build one
you will g o to a lot of effort to do what your saying
just a tiny bit more efort and you will increase the benifits 10 fold

just my thoughts

trumpets? oh. i meant airbox!

yeah turbo is good if ya want a heap more power, but if your looking for just a little bit of easy hp, well not the way to to really.

Have you guys seen Serious performance DVD? i think its on #6. The Rigoli brothers in ozzy built an 11s ae92 running a turbo'd 20v silvertop. But its running a ZE block. They had some customers cars also that they where turboing using the standard 20v block. Try emailing them for more info on it.
check out the ae92 here
