Which momo bosskit for ae86

Postby ~SlideWays~ » Thu Sep 23, 2004 4:38 pm

If have one that seemed to fit until i realised that the indicators didnt auto-cancel.

If think either the bosskit hasnt got the right holes in the back for the indicator auto-cancel locator knobs OR it hasn't got the right size tapered hole so isnt going on completely.

Does anybody know the model number of a bosskit that will fit properly?

i know momo did 2 for corolla/levin/trueno

the first for Ae82/85/86, and the second for AE100,101,111 etc...

the only difference between the 2 is the horn contacts onto the column

Ring Maclennan Performance centre and give them the code stamped onto the bosskit and ask them what type of car its for... you'll soon know if its the right one.

I got it new from a "place" in lower hutt and their listings show three different kinds but it seems the only difference is the length of the bosskit.

The steering wheel position is fine but the indicators and horn dont work :?

The simple answer would be that the boss isn't earthing for the horn and isnt coming in contact with the indicator cancel mechanism.

Problem now is that there are no other listings I can try according to the place i got it. :x :x You'd think an expensive brand like momo would be able to get it right.......

Anybody got a solution?

Yeah i had the same issue, put a ae82/86/aw11 Bosskit on to a ae92, everything fit properly & all, except indicators wouldn't rurn off. Only difference i could find was the position of the little holes that line up with the indicators. I know Autotechnica does a bosskit for ae82/ae86, i have used this and it works fine
