ae92 Instrument cluster

Postby redline racer » Wed Sep 29, 2004 1:34 pm

Hey, I need to take the instrument cluster out of my ae92 fxgt to replace a couple of blown bulbs, I have got it undone but cannot get it out far enough to acess the bulbs, it seems to be caught because of the speedo cable? What is the easiest way to remove it? Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers.

If its anything like an ae101 cluster, there will be wiring looms clipped into the back of it. Carefully pull the clips out of the back of it and it will come free

From memory the way I did it was to unscrew the speedo cable coupling in the engine bay.
It should by in the middle between the engine and the firewall.
Just unscrew it and it should give you enough slack to unclip the cample from the back of the cluster.
