AE85/6 - Diferences in Master Cylinder+

Postby Stealer Of Souls » Wed Oct 13, 2004 2:29 pm

Hey.
I'm wondering what the differences in the AE85 vs AE86 braking systems. Other than 85 having disc/drum and 86 having disc/disc.

I want to know if the 86 had a proportioning valve? If they do, does it differ from the 85s?
Are the master cylinders actually different?

Has anyone tried not using the booster for the 86 system?

I don't claim to know everything... That doesn't mean it isn't true....

AE86 brake booster are bigger than AE85 unit. Also heard that ae85 have no/different proportioning valve due to they running drums at the back.
