by re jetting i mean replaceing the jets with ones that will suit your engine, how modded was the other engine? you could try it and take it to a mechs and put it on the gas analyser to see if its close enough.
dont bother with a ram flow get a k&n or similar, ram flows shoudl be left on cortinas

just go for it pervert. ill tell you from experience that itl be fine. May run a bit rich but thats fine. you will notice gains.

i just fitted a 2L carb from a cortina onto a 4k. and fitted extractors and a ramflow aswell. the gains were good up top, but thats were all the power is on modded 4ks.

My old 4k had sides on it, and a big fuk-off cam and it wouldnt idle below 1000rpm, but wen it hit 4000rpm, it was great.

And what u got against ramflows warwick?? INDUCTION noise bro!

Is the carb you fitted a webber 32/36 DGAV from the Cortina? I can get on of those as well, which would be better?

ye thats the one i think. Which one? well it all comes down to the amount of mods you do. if its pretty standard, a big carb will not be as effective. If your going to fork out on the thing, get some sidedrafts :P

if you are gonna be muckin around with the manifolds, can i suggest some headwork? to get the most out the carb/(extractors?) headwork is money well spent. Its all willing on how much you are prepared to spend.
if your budget is low, just get some porting done. wanna spend a little more, buy a 3k head and port that. More? angle valve job. etc etc.

k series manifolds are cuntty and are best to work on once if possible.

and the extractors..? Pm me
