Getting the exhaust built soon by action dan.
Then will be able to do the drains - hadn't thought about taking the drain around to the intake side...
My plan is to have 3 drains on the exhaust side - probably draining down to the sump past/in between the headers.
I've been told by a guy who raced a gen2 3sge for 2 seasons that -
- on his setup the head held about 2 litres of oil with high rpm running
- he enlarged the sump a bit and on startup it was overfull on the dipstick, he idled it really slowly until the oil level dropped as the block and head filled up.
- in his opinion if he was doing it again he would mount the engine on the same slant as the fwd setup to reduce some hassles.
I plan to run an Accusump as insurance against oiling problems.
