Lexus Questions

Hey all,

a mate of mine has taken a very different route and has just brought in a very nice low km 1999 Lexus GS300. It is a 3.0L V6 with slushbox. With the influence of the nicely built Toyota Aristo built by Ricoh Racing jap, the black beast that came to NZ for the 300KM runs with TOP Secret and Veilside a couple years ago.

Questions:

are the engines from the Toyota V300 Aristo Vertex Edition the same as the Lexus GS300?

what are the options of changing to manual gearboxes on either of these engines?

Which one would be the better base engine for a turbo set up?

Are these engines exactly the same as the Supra engines? (they look quite alike).

Who is a recommended workshop to do a turbo setup on this type of car, where do people take their Altezza's, supras, toyotas, etc?

ok first up its not a V6 its an inline.

if you want turbo and manual easiest thing to do is just fit a supra engine and box.

but it wont be cheap. it would be better to sell it and buy a turbo aristo.

as for if the aristo and gs 300 have the same engines the basics will be the same. to tell more ill need the full model and frame numbers off the aristo

dont worry, hes just changed ownerships with his mum, and now owns a Lexus Altezza Turbo.

yeah his dad works for Toyota or something like that.
The whole family had to upgrade from their flashy euros, but now he cant be bothered with the big boat GS300 and so hes swapped with his mum.

his mum is known to drive some crazy toys from when she was young as well. likes of KE30 rollas, GT4 sillys and stuff but recently got lexus version altezza turbo.
