What would you need to change to put a gt4 3sgte into a sw20 mr2?

why not just get a MR2 turbo - it does have the 3sgte. I thought there were no major differeces between the 3sgte in the celica and the mr2??

I suspect someone has asked chickenman this question on his auction for the 3sgte... I think there would be little to no modifications needed to fit it in an mr2

You can use the celica longblock, but theres various differences to each motor.

From what I've read I'd only advise it if you blew your mr2 turbo motor up and a gt4 motor was the only one availiable to scab bits from.

I've pinched the below info off the mr2oc forum for the list of parts, so there is probably more you need.

mr2 intercooler and piping
mr2 coolant neck
mr2 crank pulley
mr2 motor mount bracket
mr2 alternator bracket
mr2 valve cover is slightly different (celica pcv valve comes very close to mr2 coolant neck)

celica uses a different throttle body inlet (rubber 2 inch VS mr2 2.5 inch metal)
